In this chapter, Dickon finally locates Selena in the forest where she, standing naked and ready, apparently prepares to conduct a ritual that will turn all women to lesbians and doom humanity. Eventually, our hero succeeds in seducing the new Queen by invading her mind and morphing her sexuality - yet as their brief and act of lovemaking comes to a close, the truth is finally revealed and Dickon learns that he has been played by powers beyond his control all along. And even if his friends - Belle, Lilith, and the old Fairy Queen - are all there to assist him, he still remains unsure of how exactly he is supposed to foil the bad guys' plans in such a short interval of time...
