Ami Rogue and Ben Rogue are fraternal step that have been lost in the system. Nobody really knows they exist, nor do they care. The world passes by, not even giving a glance to them. Abandoned by their they have bounced around from place to place their whole lives, but thankfully still have each other. Unfortunately for them, they have just turned 18. Under new laws, they are still legal adults in the legal aspect. But without the financial means to support themselves, Ami and Ben have to remain with a guardian until they turn 21. These new laws allow corporations to act now act as legal guardians, and with barely any funding to oversee all these guardians, most are never checked up on. The majority who turn 18 ends up working for a company, or worse, being used for medical research and experiments. The later of the two is where Ami and Ben have ended up.
